Job Description

Position Summary

The Articulated Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of articulated dump trucks to haul materials on heavy highway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate articulated dump trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, and other materials.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Haul materials safely on uneven terrain and active construction sites.
• Communicate with equipment operators and supervisors to maintain production flow.
• Follow all company safety policies and site-specific requirements.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep the truck clean.
• Assist with general labor or site cleanup as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating articulated dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience in heavy highway or earthwork construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of safe hauling practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Long hours during peak construction season, including nights or weekends.
