Reporting to the Director for Project Management, the Associate Director will lead three client-focused teams responsible for design and construction management services across all UT Austin campuses, overseeing 200-300 projects valued at $400-600 million. The role involves collaboration with university leadership and campus units to ensure excellence in design and construction, fostering positive client relationships, and engaging in proactive coordination across departments. Responsibilities Lead and mentor project management teams providing design and construction services for higher education projects. Represent the organization to clients during project phases, building relationships and understanding client needs. Monitor project performance, budgets, and schedules; provide updates to leadership. Evaluate team performance, serve as a subject matter expert, and optimize organizational processes. Develop best practices for service delivery, resource planning, and ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related; 5-7 years managing projects and staff; leadership skills; knowledge of project management methods; excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred: Professional license (Architect or Engineer in Texas), Master's degree, 10+ years management experience, certifications (AIA, LEED AP, PMP, etc.). Additional Details Requires a class "C" driver’s license, background checks, and compliance with university policies. Salary starts at $155,000+, depending on qualifications.
