Bakery Department Supervisor
Join our dynamic team as a Bakery Department Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual contributor who is passionate about bakery operations and inventory management, with the responsibility to oversee daily department functions in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the bakery department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
- Oversee inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock accuracy
- Prepare, bake, and display bakery products according to quality standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
- Monitor product quality and freshness, making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with store management to meet sales and operational goals
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bakery operations or food service management
- Strong understanding of inventory control and stock management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or bakery certification is a plus
