As a Cabinet Finisher you will be responsible for applying finishes, stains, paints, and protective coatings to custom cabinetry and woodwork, ensuring a high-quality, polished appearance that meets our clients' specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and finishing techniques, with experience working on various construction and restoration projects.

• Location- South Sacramento
• Pay- $25-$42/hr.
• Must be able to pass a background screening

Job Responsibilities/Main Functions/Main Tasks:

• Prepare cabinet surfaces by sanding, filling gaps, and cleaning to ensure optimal adhesion of finishes.
• Apply stains, paints, varnishes, sealants, and other protective coatings with precision using hand tools and power tools.
• Follow blueprints to achieve accurate finishes aligned with project specifications.
• Perform cabinet installation tasks including door hanging, fixture installation, and alignment adjustments.
• Conduct touch-ups and refinishing work to maintain consistent quality across all projects.
• Utilize various hand tools such as sanders, brushes, sprayers, caulking guns, and other finishing equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials like paint drips or sanding debris.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cabinet finishing, woodworking, or related construction roles.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding, caulking, and priming.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as sanders, drills, saws, and spray equipment.
• Experience with various finishing products including stains, paints, lacquers, and sealants.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role.
• Prior experience in restoration industry settings or water damage restoration is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
