A nurse anesthetist, also known as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), administers anesthesia and pain medication to patients. They work with doctors, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to provide care before, during, and after procedures.

Job Duty Summary:
The CRNA provides independent anesthesia care for a range of procedures, including ortho, OB/GYN, and eye cases. Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, administering anesthesia, and post-anesthesia care in a team-oriented environment.

• Call rotation: 1:5.

Pay Summary:
Compensation for Independent Contractors:
• $220/hr (8-hour shifts/16-hour call).
• 26 weeks off per year.
• Paid professional liability insurance.
Compensation for Full-Time Employees:
• $200/hr (8-hour shifts/16-hour call).
• $15,000 relocation allowance.
• Loan repayment ($50,000 forgivable loan, with monthly resident stipend).
• Benefits: BX of Montana health insurance (employee, spouse, and children), 401K with 3% employer contribution, $5,000 CME, and professional liability insurance.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum and Preferred):
Years of Experience:
Relevant anesthesia experience required.
Education:
• Registered Nurse’s License.
• CRNA Certification.
Licenses:
• North Dakota Medical License without restrictions (or ability to obtain).
Certifications:
• BLS/ACLS.
Personality Factors:
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Systems Used: Meditech EHR.
Ideal Candidate Features:
• Proficiency in blocks, lumbar punctures, and intubation.
