Job Description

About Titan

Titan is an award-winning wealth manager with a mission to increase our generation's compound growth rate. We plan to do this by putting a human wealth advisor in every pocket. Historically, wealth managers have been accessible to only the ultra-wealthy. With Titan, they're available to everyone. We harness frontier technologies like artificial intelligence to build a platform that gives advisors superpowers, enabling them to serve clients they historically never could. Backed by a16z, General Catalyst, Sam Altman, and many others, we manage over $1 billion in assets for clients across the country.

Why Join Titan

For the right person, we believe Titan will be one of the most rewarding jobs they ever have.
  • Ambitious Vision: When we put private wealth management in every pocket, we'll make a legacy-defining impact in growing our generation's wealth to new heights.
  • Critical Why Now: The advent of LLMs unlocks our vision to democratize personalized wealth management for everyone. This drives our urgency every day.
  • Disproportionate Impact: We're still at the beginning of our journey with a small team, which means your impact at Titan will disproportionately matter.
  • Vibrant In-Person Culture: We thrive on being a high-touch team, working together in the trenches in person (you'll see our founders in office every day).
  • Compensation: Titan offers competitive cash compensation and well-above-market equity packages because we want every team member to be an owner.
  • World-Class Investors: We're backed by top investors who share our bold vision, including a16z, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, and Sam Altman.
Role Overview

As an Equity Investment Analyst, you'll be able to play a decision-making role early on in your career in one or more of Titan's equity-based investment strategies. Your responsibilities will range from idea generation to investment research to financial modeling and proposing investment recommendations to the Chief Investment Officer, and team.

Currently, Titan offers three strategies to clients: Flagship (U.S. large cap equity), Opportunities (U.S. small/mid cap equity) and Offshore (International equity). We plan to offer several more high-performance equity strategies to further improve clients' risk-adjusted returns and asset allocations.

Please be ready to discuss multiple investment ideas that can help us illuminate your views regarding company quality, competitive position, and important financial metrics. Ideas should be your own. Also be prepared to discuss your prior firm's investment process and your role therein, where you added the most value, and some of the most compelling insights you have regarding a successful investment process.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct fundamental primary research involving business/industry breakdowns, expert calls (customers, suppliers, competitors), and more
  • Build financial and operating models for new and existing portfolio holdings (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, KPI build, summary financials & valuation math)
  • Propose portfolio construction (e.g., holdings, weightings, sizing up/down) rooted in rigorous quantitative and fundamental research
  • Monitor daily events, news flow, competitive dynamics, risk metrics (e.g., beta, factor exposures, asset allocation tilts) across investment strategies
  • Create and contribute to investment communications, including quarterly and annual letters, trade updates, and other written materials for client distribution
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of investment experience in experience in public, private equity, and/or other relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated track record of prolific investment idea generation, creative research, and rigorous quantitative and fundamental analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding and awareness of public market investing and key value drivers
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and accounting skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, high integrity, and a passion for investing
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools (e.g., Sentieo, Koyfin, Bloomberg)
  • Exceptional written and communication skills with acute attention to detail
  • Passion for simplifying / demystifying complex topics and situations for consumers / retail investors
  • Bachelors degree in Economics / Finance or similar discipline
