J29 Creative Group is a boutique marketing agency based in Kansas City, partnering
with small to mid-market businesses to transform their brands through creative strategy,
content, and digital execution. We are a high-energy, entrepreneurial team that values

We believe in giving the next generation of creatives and marketers hands-on
experience that matters. Our internship program offers real-world exposure to agency
life, where you will learn how strategy, design, content, and storytelling come together to
help businesses grow.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for motivated, curious, and creative students or recent graduates who
want to explore the world of marketing, social media, design, and digital storytelling.
This internship is designed for individuals who want to gain agency experience, work
directly with our team, and see their work make an impact.

Internship Focus Areas:
You can indicate your area of focus or interest(s):

• Social Media & Content Marketing: Brainstorm, draft copy, plan posts, track engagement, & support campaign execution
• Graphic Design: Assist in creating visuals for social media, websites, and campaigns using Adobe Creative Suite
• Video & Photography: Support shoots, edit short-form content, and contribute ideas for Reels and UGC-style projects
• Marketing Analytics & Reporting: Assist with pulling data, analyzing metrics, and preparing campaign reports
• Account Support: Help organize project deliverables, take notes in meetings, and support client communication

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with our team on real client projects and internal campaigns
• Create and edit social content, visuals, or videos depending on your focus
• Participate in creative brainstorms and strategy sessions
• Learn how to use tools like ClickUp, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics
• Assist with on-site shoots and behind-the-scenes content
• Gain hands-on exposure to agency workflows and campaign development

Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, or related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Creative mindset with attention to detail
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (depending on focus area)
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week for 3 months

Internship Details:

• Non-paid internship
• Eligible for college credit if approved by your campus program
• Hybrid schedule with some in-office days required
• Duration: 3 months
• Location: J29 Creative Group, Leawood, KS
