The Position Mine Engineer – Gleason, TN (Full‑time, Permanent) Job Summary Collaborate with the Mine Manager, Operations Manager, and Division Mining & Geology group to develop short‑to‑mid‑term mining sequencing that optimizes operations and mine life. Support divisional mine planning, oversee monthly surveying and material‑movement reconciliation, and process capital expenditure requests for the mining department. Key Tasks And Responsibilities Collaborate with mine management and division support to extract minerals safely, cost‑effectively, and in alignment with deposit and overburden characteristics. Prepare and deliver monthly dashboard reports on mining operation status. Under the Mine Manager’s direction, design and execute mine operation plans, including bench and access-road locations (modifiable within one year). Work with environmental consultants to secure proper permitting. Ensure adequate supply of raw ore for processing plants. Create and reconcile grade‑control block models. Assist in preparation and submission of mine permits. Perform any other duties assigned by the Mine Manager. Education/Experience Requirements B.S. in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting a mining or industrial operation. Leadership experience. Travel up to 30% (primarily to the Crenshaw, MS site). Environment Worksite requires up to 70% of time on the ground, standing, and walking up to 30% of the time. Skills And Attributes Requirements Ability to identify needs, justify and implement improvement processes. Knowledge of ArcGIS preferred. Proficiency in Surpac and/or Deswik modeling software. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Proficiency in GPS surveying systems. Experience supporting operations management with production data monitoring, graph development, and equipment tracking using OEM software.
