Airswift is partnering with a leading mining organization to recruit a Mid-Range Mine Engineer for a permanent position based in Northern Minnesota. This role is critical to developing mid-range mine plans and the Annual Operating Plan, and offers excellent long‑term stability and career progression within a company that has significant reserves and a strong safety culture. What You’ll Do Own the Annual Operating Plan and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Translate long‑range pit designs into detailed toe‑crest designs. Develop medium‑term plans for shovels, cables, and critical infrastructure such as roads, powerlines, and sumps. Conduct risk assessments and maintain the Risk Register to proactively address operational challenges. Ensure seamless integration between short‑range (0–3 months) and mid‑range (3–12 months) mine plans. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams through regular mine tours and compliance reporting. Perform quarterly forecasts, SWOT analyses, and identify bottlenecks impacting production. Lead the development of annual quality and tonnage targets. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or Civil Engineering. Proven experience in mine planning (short, medium, or long range). Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions. Familiarity with mine planning tools such as MineSight, AutoCAD, GPS surveying instruments, and dispatch systems. Understanding of mine planning in relation to costing and financial impacts.
