About the Role: A New York school district is seeking a part-time Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support K12 students for the remainder of the school year. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and accommodations to help students with visual impairments access the curriculum in a virtual setting. Responsibilities: Provide virtual direct instruction to students with visual impairments across K12. Support braille instruction, assistive technology, and accessibility needs. Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development. Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring. Requirements: Active New York Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification. Experience working with K12 students with visual impairments. School-based experience preferred. Comfortable delivering services remotely.
