About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Associate to join our team in the pet food and supplies retail store. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your main goal will be to increase sales and profitability by promoting our products and services. You will be expected to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, while working collaboratively with your team to achieve common goals. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work 6-8 hour shifts, including weekends and some holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Comfortable working around dogs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in animal health or care
  • Retail and customer service experience

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Provide expert knowledge and advice on our products and services
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Promptly address pet messes both indoors and outdoors.
  • Clean and reset self-wash rooms after each use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and goals

Skills:

As a Sales Associate, you will utilize your professional customer service skills to provide exceptional service to our customers. You will converse comfortably with customers to understand their needs and provide great customer service. Your knowledge of animal health and care will be utilized to promote and sell our products and services. Your experience in specialty retail will be beneficial in achieving sales targets and goals. Additionally, your retail customer skills will be used to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
