DataStaff, Inc is seeking a PHP and WordPress Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Raleigh, NC . Note: This position is remote. Overview DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a PHP and WordPress Developer to diagnose, repair, and stabilize a WordPress-based website, and to provide ongoing maintenance and documentation for the team. Responsibilities Website Access Restoration: Diagnose and repair issues related to the missing WordPress login PHP file, restoring the login functionality for administrative and content management access. Static Pages Restoration: Diagnose and repair issues related to the inability to make live changes to the static portions of the site. Codebase Stabilization: Identify problematic custom PHP code, outdated plugins, and legacy configurations that contribute to website instability, applying fixes as necessary to support ongoing use. Content Management Support: Make minor updates to improve navigation and usability where feasible, given the current structure, to facilitate better access for public users and ease of content management. Short-Term Maintenance Recommendations: Provide guidance on maintaining the website’s operability over the short term, including essential updates and monitoring for potential points of failure. Documentation: Document any repairs, temporary fixes, or recommendations for the team to maintain site functionality and address minor issues.
