Documentation, Verification, and Compliance

  • Prepare technical documentation including verification reports, rework instructions, routing and placement guidelines, and engineering analyses.
  • Maintain a complete and controlled design history using version management systems.
  • Support compliance activities by generating reports for REACH, RoHS, PFAS, and similar regulatory standards.
  • Assist with development and routing of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Mentorship

  • Coordinate with other engineers across electrical, mechanical, software, and systems disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • May act as a project leader to keep schedules, budgets, and deliverables on track.
  • Mentor engineering peers by providing design guidance and helping resolve technical obstacles.

Lifecycle and Sustaining Support

  • Monitor component obsolescence and evaluate alternative parts as necessary.
  • Contribute to design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) activities to streamline production processes.

Company-Wide Expectations

  • Demonstrate company values in day-to-day interactions.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Meet attendance, safety, and training expectations.
  • Support a collaborative, high-performance culture that prioritizes continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
  • 12+ years of electronic product design experience.
  • Strong experience with embedded system design, including microprocessor-based hardware.
  • Broad knowledge of electrical product development, including requirements analysis, schematic design, documentation, verification, DFM, and DFT.
  • Demonstrated history of leading multidisciplinary teams or technical project groups.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Working understanding of serial interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Experience with simulation tools and analog design concepts.
  • Familiarity with RF technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular is preferred.
  • Understanding of high-speed digital interfaces (DDR, PCIe, SATA) is a plus.
  • Experience developing products within regulated industries, such as medical, is desirable.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including MS Project.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams as well as direct customer contacts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including creation of engineering templates, specifications, and technical proposals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and customer-driven timelines.

Benefits

  • Company-paid disability and life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer match
