Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager with experience in Erosion Control/Construction. In this position you will oversee several crew teams including crew members, crew leads, crew drivers, field manager, etc. The scope of work for the crews includes completing the physical installation of silt fence, inlet protections, slope matting, and other erosion control services on both residential and commercial sites. The position manages multiple job sites.

Duties & Functions

  • Lead a team of Field Managers, Crew Leads and Crewmembers to achieve overall customer satisfaction, good employee morale, business growth, and strong financial results.
  • Oversee the timely and successful recruitment of any new hires in conjunction with HR.
  • Responsible for monitoring the health and working order of all vehicle and plant equipment; and coordinating repairs with the team through 3rd party vendors. Ensure all Preventative Maintenance is performed on schedule.
  • Understand productivity, expense targets, and take action to achieve specific goals and metrics.
  • Lead safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Ensure all understand all safe practices for performing work and have the proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Ensure employees are trained and thoroughly understand their job responsibilities.
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings to ensure all team members are aware of business updates and priorities, success metrics, and any policy updates or changes.
  • Develop good business relationships with key customers and regularly seek new business opportunities for growth.
  • Review regular financial reports and understand the meaning for the business and any adjustments required.
  • Regularly inspect job sites and ensure Field Managers and Crews are performing work in a high-quality manner.
  • Oversee a high state of organization and cleanliness of the plant, yard, and buildings with the team.
  • Participate locally in Division projects to help improve and streamline the business.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Division Director
Requirements:

Qualifications & Standards

  • Familiarity with Erosion Control materials, scope of products and services (preferred)?
  • Basic understanding of Netsuite (or comparable system) for managing the business (preferred)?
  • Experience leading and managing a team of at least 5-15 workers
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize activities?
  • Outstanding professionalism in all manner of work activities
  • Must be an organized and efficient manager
  • Must be a strong leader with experience in past construction management or like fields of at least 1-3 years
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal direct supervision?
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good financial acumen; ability to understand financial statements
  • Must be able to problem solve and think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive and seek continued improvement
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance requirements for past driving record.
  • Knowledge and use of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience working with tools, vehicles, and equipment specific to erosion control (preferred) ?
