Shipyard riggers play a critical role in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment, ship components, and materials that support both military and commercial vessel projects. \nResponsibilities\nSet up, inspect, and operate rigging gear including pulleys, chains, slings, hoists, cranes, and winches.
\nSafely lift, move, and align ship components and heavy materials.
\nRead and interpret load charts, blueprints, and work instructions.
\nSignal and communicate with crane operators and other crew members.
\nInspect rigging equipment daily and ensure compliance with shipyard safety standards.
\nMaintain a safe and organized work area at all times.
\nProven shipyard or industrial rigging experience required.
\nStrong knowledge of rigging gear, hand signals, and safe lifting procedures.
\nAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments (climbing, bending, standing for extended periods).
\nMust be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
\nMust pass background check, drug screening, and meet shipyard entry requirements.
