• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline; OR at least 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in supporting Information Security (IS) governance, IS risk management, compliance, or IT audit functions.
• Proficient knowledge and application of IT governance frameworks, including COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and CMMC.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing IT and/or IS policies, standards, and procedures.
• Experience leading and coordinating IS audits and assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Strong understanding of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex IT/IS environments and identify early warning signals.
• Experience in recognizing potential failure points and simulating risk scenarios.
• Proficient in leveraging data to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks.
• Understanding of risks associated with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
• Competency in communicating risk insights and influencing stakeholders to take proactive steps.
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms, vulnerability management tools, and risk dashboards.

Responsibilities:

• I support the first line of defense in ensuring the effectiveness of IS governance, IS risk management, and compliance programs within the Bank Technology Office.
• I collaborate with Information Technology (IT) and IS teams, business stakeholders, Compliance, Risk Management, Audit Services, and external partners to advance IS governance and related initiatives.
• I serve as a critical liaison between the Association’s IS function and various Bank business units, ensuring alignment with enterprise security policies and standards.
• I continuously monitor IS environments to identify emerging risks related to cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and third-party services.
• I provide consultative services across the Bank and offer expert insights on developing, implementing, and continuously improving IT governance frameworks tailored to our specific needs and strategic objectives.
• Analyzing incident trends and control gaps allows me to anticipate potential risk scenarios and recommend preventive measures.
• I conduct forward-looking risk assessments for new technology initiatives, system changes, and digital transformation projects.
• I lead IT/IS teams in embedding IS risk considerations early in project lifecycles, ensuring timely mitigation strategies.
• I define, maintain, and enforce IS policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• I ensure IS risk compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, coordinating audits and assessments.
• I provide oversight for IS-related initiatives, ensuring adherence to established standards, policies, and risk management practices.
• Mentoring junior members of the IS governance team is part of my responsibilities, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
• I conduct root cause analysis to evaluate the likelihood, impact, and mitigation strategies for identified risks.
• My role includes preparing metrics reporting and participating in the metrics refresh process.
• I maintain awareness of cloud computing principles and artificial intelligence, comprehending potential IS risks tied to these disciplines.
• I ensure that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies and procedures.
