**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Assessment and Evaluation:**

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, including receptive and expressive language skills, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic language skills.

- Administer standardized tests, conduct informal observations, and collect relevant information from teachers and parents to determine students' communication strengths and areas of need.

2. **Individualized Treatment Planning:**

- Design and implement evidence-based intervention strategies and therapy activities to address speech and language disorders, promote functional communication, and support academic achievement.

3. **Therapy and Intervention:**

- Provide direct therapy services to students individually, in small groups, or in classroom-based settings, targeting specific speech and language goals outlined in the IEP.

- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and resources, including articulation drills, language games, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and social skills training, to support students' communication development.

4. **Collaboration and Consultation:**

- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other members of the IEP team to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational programming and classroom activities.

- Provide consultation and training to school personnel on strategies for supporting students with communication disorders, including classroom accommodations, modifications, and effective communication strategies.

5. **Progress Monitoring and Documentation:**

- Monitor students' progress towards IEP goals through ongoing assessment, data collection, and progress monitoring.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and communication with team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and school policies.

**Qualifications:**

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

- State licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology, with additional certification or specialization in pediatric speech therapy preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and other professionals.

- Proficiency in conducting speech and language assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy.

**Working Conditions:**

- Full-time or part-time position based on school district needs, typically following the school calendar.

- Requires mobility within the school environment, including navigating classrooms, hallways, and therapy spaces.

- May involve occasional travel between school sites or participation in off-site meetings or professional development opportunities.
