Job Description

(FT or PT, Seasonal Position) Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of trucks (6-10 wheels, tank vehicle). Will haul passengers, materials, plow and cinder, and maintain all parking lots.

Essential Functions:

Ability to drive a 6-10 wheeled truck.
Possess an understanding of the basic truck/vehicle systems.
Ability to operate various size wheeled loaders to load dump trucks.
Ability to perform all pre and post operation vehicle checks.
Ability to maintain a logbook.
Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
Ability to work at night and in adverse weather conditions
Ability to operate vehicles ranging from small to heavy equipment.
Operate necessary or related equipment.

Education / Training / License(s) / Certification(s) Requirements:

Highschool or GED equivalent.
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable three year MV report.
Ability to drive manual transmissions.
Must have a CDL Class B with air brake endorsements and tanker endorsements.
Posses a medical card with an insurable driving record.
Ability to adhere to federal pre-employment and random drug testing requirement
Possess a knowledge and understanding of all CDL rules and regulations that may apply.

Physical Requirements:

Physical mobility to efficiently complete tasks; lifting objects weighing 50 pounds.
Ability to work in varying environments (all weather conditions).
Chain or de-chain 6 or 10 wheel tank trucks.

Ability to work on an "on-call" basis when needed.
Ability to solve problems and take direction.
Possess internal drive and motivation.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and create a fun, professional work environment.
Ability to read and understand appropriate materials and apply them.

Work Environment:

The employee occasionally is exposed to wet and/or winter conditions.
Ability to work at night and in adverse weather conditions.
