Role and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and conducting new hire orientations and processing all necessary new hire paperwork.
  • Back up for Receptionist - duties include but not limited to sorting mail, answering main phone line and transferring phone calls, greet visitors at the front desk, place catering orders, order office supplies, and clean break rooms and conference rooms as needed.
  • Responsible for coordinating background checks/drug screens for new hires and communicating results.
  • Prioritize and process employee items from the HR support site and HR phone line.
  • Maintain employee data in HRIS and electronic filing system.
  • Assist HR Department with other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Successful candidate must possess a minimum of one year of experience in human resource functions, or equivalent exposure to administrative functions in an office environment
  • Intermediate level of skill with the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access) and E-Mail software
  • Ability to work a deadline and to focus and organize job requirements
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Regular and supervisory probation period required, if applicable
  • Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality
  • Two-year degree preferred
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • Physical Demands: Constant sitting, walking short distances, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and/or below shoulder, handling/grasping documents or office equipment, clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in-person and/or on the telephone, vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data, repetitive motions for computer equipment use, lift 25 lbs. occasionally, 5-10 lbs. frequently to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with air conditioning and bright lights.
