Spherion Mid-Ohio is partnered with an established manufacturer in Erie County seeking a Contract/Short term- HR Assistant - paying $25/hour based on skill set and experience.

Position Summary:
The HR Assistant (short term role) provides administrative and HR support including onboarding, recruitment coordination, employee assistance, and office organization. This flexible role pays $25/hour and is expected to work at least 32 hours per week, with potential to work up to 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities :
Administrative & Office Support

• Greet and assist visitors and employees.
• Coordinate onsite meetings (room scheduling, catering, visitor logistics).
• Prepare reports, meeting materials, and basic presentations.
• General office tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and answering phones.
• Issue and manage employee and guest badges.

Onboarding & Employee Support

• Prepare new hire paperwork and assist with orientation.
• Complete data entry for new hires and separations.
• Maintain employee records and ensure I-9 compliance.
• Assist employees with benefit questions and routine HR inquiries

Recruitment Coordination

• Post job openings and manage applicant flow.
• Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings as needed.
• Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates and hiring managers.

Employee Engagement

• Assist with planning and coordinating employee activities and events.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Prior administrative support experience required; HR support preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning HR systems.
