CCBC, a regional leader in Online Education, is looking for highly motivated designers to assist with the expansion of Online Learning. The Instructional Designer will report to the Director, Instructional Design and Online Learning and assist faculty members in designing and creating high quality, accessible online courses in accordance with the instructional and teaching policies of CCBC.
Masters degree required, degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, or related field preferred. Or Bachelors degree and completion of graduate level certification in Instructional Design for Online Courses. One (1) year experience working in Instructional Design required. Experience as an Instructional Designer in higher education preferred.
Experience working with a learning management system in higher education (Blackboard Learn, D21 Brightspace, Instructure Canvas) required. Experience in quality assurance of online courses (Quality Matters, OLC, ETC.), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and Copyright rules preferred. Experience using content authoring software (such as CourseARC, SoftChalk, Articulate 360, Captivate) and multimedia software (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia) preferred.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale
