Job Summary and Qualifications:
As a Patient Safety Attendant (PSA), you will be a trusted partner in keeping patients safe and cared for during vulnerable times. You will be part of a team that counts on you to help protect patients from harm, bring comfort in moments of stress, and support quality care across the hospital. You will make a real difference for patients and families every day while growing your skills and contributing to our shared mission of caring for and improving human lives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Keeping a close watch over patients at high risk for falls or self-harm, staying alert and ready to act while helping them feel secure and supported.
Helping maintain a safe, clutter-free environment by following safety protocols, infection prevention practices, and keeping rooms stocked and organized.
Reporting any changes in patient behavior or condition promptly and partnering with the nursing care team to respond quickly.
Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) like eating, bathing, grooming, and getting comfortable to promote dignity and comfort.
Supporting the nursing team with tasks such as transporting patients, delivering supplies, and helping the unit run smoothly.
What qualifications you will need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Prior healthcare and/or direct patient care experience helpful.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
