Position: Roof Coating Plant Manager
Location: Tucson, AZ
Position Overview
As the Roof Coating Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our manufacturing operations toward excellence. Your strategic leadership, operational insight, and commitment to quality will ensure that we consistently deliver superior products while maximizing efficiency and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Oversee and optimize all phases of the production lifecycle to meet quality standards, deliver on production targets, and uphold exceptional output consistency.
- Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, guide, and build a high-performing team of professionals. Foster an environment that encourages collaboration, skill development, and continuous motivation.
- Process Optimization: Use data-driven approaches to identify operational inefficiencies. Implement solutions that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower unit costs without compromising quality.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Partner with procurement to ensure timely material availability, maintain optimal inventory levels, and manage material flow to minimize production disruptions.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce rigorous quality control protocols. Ensure all products consistently surpass company, industry, and regulatory quality benchmarks.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a proactive safety culture by enforcing compliance with federal, state, and local safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training to ensure a secure working environment.
- Budget Oversight: Prepare, monitor, and manage the plant’s budget. Allocate resources effectively and drive cost-efficiency while supporting growth and operational needs.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver regular, insightful reports on operational metrics, emerging challenges, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of industry advancements. Proactively recommend and implement best practices, innovative technologies, and new product enhancements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or plant management role.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing production efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a inclusive and development-focused mindset.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, strategic decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP software, and production planning tools is highly desirable.
