Seasonal Tax Preparer

Nudelman and Associates is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team on a part-time, seasonal basis. This role will primarily focus on assisting during tax season, with potential for continued work beyond the seasonal period. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in individual and business tax preparation and is proficient with tax software, preferably Intuit ProConnect.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
• Collect and organize clients' financial data, including income statements, receipts, and other relevant documents.
• Apply tax laws and regulations to ensure maximum deductions and compliance for clients.
• Communicate with clients throughout the preparation process to gather information and provide updates.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and industry regulations.
• Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in tax preparation for individuals and businesses.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software; Intuit ProConnect experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Schedule and compensation

• Part-time, seasonal position with flexible working hours.
• Additional hours may be requested as tax season progresses.
• This role offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience.
