Description A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduler with at least three years of relevant experience to join our team. This vital role ensures that all surgical procedures are scheduled seamlessly, supporting the efficiency of our surgical team and providing superior patient care. Key Responsibilities: + Coordinate and schedule surgeries, procedures, and pre-operative appointments with surgeons, staff, and patients. + Obtain and verify all required documentation, insurance authorizations, and clearances prior to procedure dates. + Communicate scheduling details proactively with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to minimize conflicts and maximize productivity. + Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and keep scheduling systems up to date. + Answer patient questions regarding surgical scheduling and pre-operative instructions. + Track and follow up on cancellations, rescheduled procedures, and no-shows as needed. + Collaborate daily with operating room staff to ensure resource availability. + Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and safety protocols. Requirements + Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical scheduling, healthcare administration, or a similar medical office role. + Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical workflows. + Proficiency in scheduling and electronic health record (EHR) systems. + Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. + High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
