By creating health communications that are clear, accessible, and inclusive, we give people what they need to make informed decisions about their health and ultimately help advance health equity. About you

Youre an experienced freelance writer or editor with a background in health communication or public health. You excel at translating complicated health information into content thats clear and actionable and that follows health literacy and plain language best practices. Youre interested in being part of CommunicateHealths small network of independent contractors who occasionally take on writing or editing tasks to support our government, non-profit, and private clients.

If this sounds like you, please provide the following:

1. Your resume
2. At least 1 sample of your writing ideally, the sample shows your skills, as lead writer, in plain language, clear communication, and scientific accuracy for:

• A health-related audience (like health care consumers or patients, health care providers, or public health practitioners)
• Digital (like web or social media) or print (like patient education materials) assets
• Government, foundation, professional organization, non-profit, or health-related business clients

• Your hourly rate
• Your availability including when youd be able to start taking work, approximately how many hours per week you can offer, and any other details youd like to share about your availability
• At least 1 reference who can speak to your freelance work
