• At USAA, we are looking for candidates with a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, or Data Science. Alternatively, four years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics may substitute for a degree. You should have a minimum of four years of experience in data/analytics or functional business operations within the respective industry (e.g., Property & Casualty, Banking, Finance). If you have an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, two years of related experience will also suffice. A strong competency in mathematical and statistical techniques for fact-based decision-making, along with intermediate to advanced knowledge of data analysis tools and SQL, SAS, BI tools, is essential.

• In the role of Paid Search Analyst, you will enhance our Paid Search media buying efforts by utilizing data and analytics. Your responsibilities will include participating in discussions with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and influence strategic solutions. You will apply advanced analytical techniques to tackle medium to large-scale problems, translating your findings into clear communication materials for peer review and management. Visualization techniques should be used to simplify complex data for less technical audiences. You must gather quality data to address recommended strategies and rigorously document assumptions and methodologies to aid in compliance and peer reviews. Familiarity with emerging technologies that can improve our analytical approaches is important, as well as ensuring that the risks associated with business activities are properly identified and managed.
